This was written for all women who feel alone while battling morbid thoughts and feelings of despair. My experience with Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD) coupled with my knowledge of brain science, social and emotional learning, and trauma-informed practices has allowed me to write a book that exposes my episodes and gives women the tools they need to discover what is happening in their minds. Unfortunately, no one knows what PMDD is as it has only been registered since 2012 in the US and 2022 internationally as a clinical disorder. Furthermore, since women are often judged when they voice their intrusive thoughts, this leads to many suffering in silence. My hope is that this book will bring the term "PMDD" to the forefront of every person's vocabulary and that no woman will worry about her monthly disturbing and debilitating episodes ever again. The insights and tools I share to address the disorder can help women learn to take away its power. Once they have that control, each and every one of them can find the path of healing towards the joyful and peaceful lives they deserve.
